“I give people nourishment for tales”

My fascination for the unicity and vulnerability of people is the foundation of my work. Therefore I use human and animal forms. Without remorse I mix myths, fables, news items and personal stories in (often theatrical) scenes. As an intruder in a personal and unique moment, in which time seems to be standing still, I create my sculptures and place them in a new surrounding. Overall returning themes are based on human acting and emotions. Asthonishment, lack, hidden fears and silent desire, childlike perception and memories, the passing of time.
